Just done the macro course at Northumberland Country Zoo with Iain. Good fun, Zoo and staff are great, and Iain friendly and patient with everyone. He got us great access to various critters for macro work! I came away with some fabulous photos and will definitely attend some more of his courses.

Attended the ‘Get off Auto’ Part 1 course today. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone with an interest in photography. I was expecting to be a little intimidated with all the technical aspects but Iain explained things very well and everything was easy to understand. I came away feeling inspired and excited to start exploring the techniques I learned. Thanks for a great day! I will definitely be attending more workshops.

Introduction to Wedding Photography Apr 2015
... Here are some of my photographs from yesterday. There were so many to pick from it took some going through, but I do enjoy the editing process so it wasn't too much of a task. Thank you for all your useful tips and advice over the past few days, I found it very helpful and made me feel even more resolved that I want to try doing it professionally. I am very happy with the images I have! Thanks again, Rachael
Get Off Auto - Explore Your Camera Part 1 at Souter Lighthouse Feb 2015
Hi Bev, Thank you for a great day on Saturday, Libby learnt so much, as did I. Would thoroughly recommend the beginners course to anybody who wants to learn how to take beautiful pictures even with a simple Bridge Camera. I went as a chaperone for my daughter but was so inspired and excited by Bev's enthusiasm that I've decided to invest in a camera for myself!
Thanks again, will see you on part 2 later in the year.

"Thank you for yesterday. Thats defintely one of the best courses I've been on. I've been struggling to get images as sharp as I would like. I have a couple of static images from yesterday that I am very pleased with. Everything just seemed to come together. Once again thanks for a great day and great tuition." Sarah Hewitt

"This is just to say how very much I enjoyed the course yesterday... I found yesterday enormously useful, especially the focus on learning through practical experience. The fact that you kept a close eye on everybody's progress was an extra bonus. No doubt you'll see me on subsequent courses. Many thanks again."Best wishes David Ratnanayagam

"Thanks for a fantastic workshop yesterday, everything about the day was first class, including the weather. I have a few shots that I was delighted with when it saw them on a bigger screen, really looking forward to my next workshop with you although not sure which one to book yet. Thanks again for a most enjoyable day." Kind Regards Ken Rowell

"Thanks to you and Iain for a very enjoyable day.You have certainly 'got me off auto’.The instruction was relaxed and delivered at a pace we could all keep up with. I’ll definitely see you for part 2. " Regards, Michael Wall
" Great day out and really pleased I have taken away the main points of the day ie knowing where the focus point is on my camera and how to adjust it quickly and the creative effects it allows you to perform, the tips on composition of photos for a more professional feel, the insight into shutter speed and exposure with the ISO and "F" numbers and the relationship with the large and small depth of field and lighting.I have sent you my Rose picture which I was particularly chuffed about the romantic effect it achieved and cannot wait to get started with some portrait and wildlife images. I will work on these principles and I think when the weather picks up be back for some further creative training in Part 2. Thanks for the input it really was worthwhile day." Cheers Julie
"Jim and I thoroughly enjoyed the course today. We managed to get some fab shots of our baby daughter before she went to bed this evening - much better than we had previously taken with our point and shoot camera!" Nicola & Jim
"I really enjoyed the beginners course the other week, hope to do another in the new year." Regards Derek Hare
"I just wanted to say a huge thank you again for today! I have practised (on my long-suffering husband, in part!) throughout the evening and feel so much more confident and excited about taking photos with this 'scary' camera! I have booked a place on the Portraits, Family and Friends workshop on April 5th, which I look forward to very much!" Thank you again. Lynda Spencer
"Really just wanted to thank you for Saturday at Souter lighthouse. Thoroughly enjoyed the course and was at just the right level for me. Even surprised myself at how much I understood and that is purely down to your delivery and help throughout the day. Just need to go out and practice more with what you have taught us and hopefully a lot of the knowledge will become second nature before moving on to the next course. Actually listening to radio Newcastle yesterday and they were interviewing a photographer and it was really good to understand some of what he was saying about f stop and depth of field etc." Malcolm Bengston
