The Holy Island of Lindisfarne is one of the most popular destinations for photographers from all over the world as it offers such a diverse range of photography opportunities. We will take a walk around The Parish Church of St Marys that is shadowed by Lindisfarne Priory. In the distance is Lindisfarne Castle sitting overlooking most of the Island.
From St Cuthbert’s Island to The Heugh, the view over the "old" boats looking at the castle and stone cairns, Holy Island really is an amazing blend of opportunities. If we are very lucky we may see seals in the waters around the island.
We will be governed by the tide as the island is reached by a causeway and as a consequence this workshop will run from 10am - 4pm allowing you time to get off the island before the tide returns.
This photo walk/workshop is aimed at all levels of photographer who want to improve on their landscape compositions and wanting to know new tips and tricks!
This is a walk of around 2-3 miles and involves quite steep slopes in places. Bring a packed lunch or as an alternative, there is a mobile fish and chip van that we will pass around lunchtime. Public toilets are available on the island.
Holy Island, a magical place to visit whatever time of year!
