The Sun Hotel is a traditional 16th Century coaching inn sitting in the heart of the charming market town of Hitchin. Interesting architecture, picturesque streets and regular markets contribute to Hitchin being a perfect location for our beginners photography workshops and Photowalks, as well as our popular Smartphone Walks around the town.
Hitchin is renowned for St Mary’s Church, the largest parish church in Hertfordshire and one whose tower dates back to 1190. In terms of architecture Hitchin offers a range of delightful examples. The Market place is cobbled and surrounded by old traditional buildings dating back to the 15th century. Tudor and Georgian buildings are found throughout the town which, along with the busy weekend market, provide plenty of interest and variety for those keen to develop their travel and street photography skills.
Our Smartphone Photo-Walks are led by London Tutor Richard Berry. If you would like to learn how to take better pictures with your smartphone and understand how to use a variety of different Apps to edit them, this course is ideal for you.
