Peter. I know I mentioned how much I had enjoyed the day before I left, but I was still buzzing when I got home. Jacob was so happy that the birthday present was so well appreciated. I started the day as someone who had spent years taking snaps in fully Auto mode, and ended as someone taking photographs. 3 months flirting with full manual (reading magazines and watching Youtube) and this was the first time I got to use it in anger. WOW, starting in Aperture priority then reverting back to full manual was made so much easier knowing that you were two steps away. The advice and direction gave me the confidence I hoped for. The other people on the course had so much knowledge that even just talking casually provided clear insights into what to do and how to achieve it. However the one person I cannot fail to mention was Alan, the attention to detail with the birds was second to none, coupled with someone who has taken up photography a few years ago and has achieved such high standards in that window was an inspiration. Please pass on my thanks. As for recommendations and the future, I now have so much more confidence, I feel that when I go to Kenya later in the year I will be able to catch that picture, be it the smallest bird to the biggest Bull Elephant. I have mentioned the day to everyone I speak to, to the point my wife has now picked up my spare camera and wants to attend the next one I book. Learn Wildlife Photography Skills at Mere Down Falconry. Get really close to over 20 Birds of Prey and photograph them as they fly. You may even get to handle some! This course is held totally outdoors and numbers are restricted.

Mere Down Falconry based within Manor farm in the Wiltshire village of Mere is our first wildlife venue dedicated to running bird of prey photography workshops. The proprietor has been working with Going Digital for many years running Bird of Prey photography days at various venues and is now offering to run these days for us at from his home base at Mere Down. With access to 20 different birds of prey and surrounded by splendid Wiltshire countryside the venue is only 5 minutes from the A303 and close to Salisbury, Longleat, Stourhead and Stonehenge.
