Introduction to Photography - Part 1 - Get off Auto
Norwich Cathedral, Norfolk
Our traditional Get Off Auto workshop with only 4 students. We will meet in a refectory shop in Norwich Cathedral for the how to part of the session before heading off around the Cathedral for the practical part of the session. The small group size ensures every student gets the assistance they require. The session runs from 10am to 1.00pm
Birds of Prey & Action
Cressing Barns, Essex
This workshop is split into two sessions consisting of a Zoom Presentation a few days before (which will be recorded if you can't make it) which you can watch and ask questions in the comfort of your own home. With all the key information ready to hand we will then meet up at Cressing Temple Barn with our falconer for the practical side of the workshop with 3 hours of photography and support from your tutor on the day. Our falconer will bring a selection of birds and we will have plenty of time to capture stunning portraits and flying action. This session will run from 10am until 1pm. After the day, everyone will have the option of sending me some of their pictures from the day to have a personal review over zoom. Ideally you'll have been on a Part 1 workshop and have an understanding of aperture, ISO and shutter speed and a zoom lens would be an advantage on this workshop.
Introduction to Photography - Part 2 - Movement
Cromer
If you have attended an Introduction to Photography - Get Off Auto Workshop or are comfortable with the basics including Aperture Priority, this workshop teaches you how to photograph moving subjects to freeze or intentionally blur movement. The Cromer Pier, promenade, and beach will provide a backdrop and plenty of opportunities for learning how to take further control of your camera, master more modes and improve your composition and creativity.
Close-up & Macro
Flatford Mill, Suffolk
Macro and Close Up Photography. Join us at Field Studies Council training room at Flatford Mills where we'll be looking at how to photograph small objects and nature close up. This is a full day workshop, working in the classroom in the morning to look at theory, to ensure that you know where the relevant controls are on your camera and doing some practice indoors with individual work stations set up for you. In the afternoon, we'll be heading outside to put into practice what we've learned and photograph interesting flora and fauna. A macro lens, tripod and flash are helpful, but not essential. Read More
